What is a VA Accredited Representative?

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:

“An accredited representative is an individual who has undergone a formal application and training process and is recognized by VA as being capable of assisting claimants with their affairs before VA.”

The VA’s accreditation program ensures that veterans and their families receive qualified assistance when preparing and presenting their claims for benefits.

Why VA Accreditation Matters

VA accreditation requires passing a comprehensive federal examination on VA regulations, undergoing a background investigation, and completing continuing education to stay current with VA policies.

When you work with a VA accredited representative, you can be confident that they are:

  • Officially recognized and authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Knowledgeable in complex VA regulations and benefits law
  • Required to maintain current expertise through continuing education
  • Held to professional standards and accountability by the VA

Victoria Collier is a VA Accredited Attorney (Accreditation #9079), bringing both legal expertise and specialized VA benefits knowledge to help veterans and surviving spouses navigate the Aid & Attendance claims process successfully.
